AI prepares your Swiss tax return. A Swiss expert reviews it typically within 24 hours, then Avenzo files directly with the canton.
Every tax return filed through Avenzo follows the same four-step process — whether you use Premium or the flat-fee filing.
As soon as you upload your salary statement, securities register, mortgage receipts or Pillar 3a confirmations, Avenzo's AI assistant scans each document via OCR and automatically maps it to the correct field of the cantonal tax return. AI detects not just the obvious items, but also commonly missed deductions — continuing education, work-related expenses, commuting costs, donations, medical expenses.
You see every AI suggestion in the app and can accept, adjust or reject it. Complex cases (multiple employers, real estate, foreign income) are clearly flagged. Once the return is complete, you submit it to expert review with one click.
A Swiss tax or fiduciary professional takes over your return. The review checks not just numerical plausibility but also: whether all flat-rate deductions for your canton of residence are applied, whether Pillar 3a contributions, BVG buy-ins and property deductions are optimally distributed, whether for withholding tax a subsequent ordinary assessment makes sense, and whether cantonal specifics (e.g. imputed rental value, professional expense limits) are accounted for.
After approval, Avenzo transmits your return directly to the cantonal tax administration — via the e-filing interface where available (ZH, BE, AG, LU, BS, BL, SG, GR and others), or via signed PDF for cantons without a digital interface. You receive an immediate filing confirmation and an encrypted PDF of your final return.
Most Swiss tax solutions force you into a binary choice: either DIY software (TaxMe, EasyTax, ZHprivateTax — you do everything, you carry the liability) or classic fiduciary (appointments, document handover, hourly billing, days to weeks of waiting). Avenzo solves this by having AI take care of the routine — receipt capture, deduction detection, cantonal logic, plausibility checks — and a Swiss expert handle the non-routine: fine-tuning, optimization across multiple pension vessels, detection of cantonal quirks.
Expert review is included automatically in Premium (from CHF 89) and the flat-fee filing (from CHF 89) — no separate fee, no per-filing surcharge. Free covers calculation only; to file, you need at least Premium.
This page describes Avenzo's expert review. For complex mandates (international, inheritance, business participations) we recommend the flat-fee filing PREMIUM tier with personal accompaniment in addition. All information without warranty.
