Avenzo security: AES-256 encryption, Swiss-only data storage, TLS 1.3, mandatory 2FA, FINMA-regulated. Your tax data is protected by Swiss law.
Your data is stored exclusively on servers located in Switzerland — never in the EU, the US, or any third country. Swiss data residency means your records are protected by the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and cannot be accessed under foreign legislation such as the US CLOUD Act.
No. FINMA supervises Avenzo's operations and receives aggregate audit reports — it does not have direct access to your tax return content. Cantonal tax authorities receive only the filings you authorise (e-filing submissions), not access to your Avenzo account.
Submit a deletion request to datenschutz@avenzo.ch. Avenzo deletes everything except the 10-year statutory retention required by OR Art. 962 for accounting and tax records. After the retention period expires, all remaining records are irreversibly deleted.
Avenzo monitors systems 24/7. In the event of a material security incident, affected users are notified within 72 hours (FADP requirement), FINMA is informed per regulatory reporting rules, and a post-incident report is published. Report concerns to sicherheit@avenzo.ch.
